Rhianna Williams


Rhianna has over a decade of experience acting for the State in criminal and civil litigation. She is undertaking her readership at Sunshine Coast Barristers Chambers.

Before commencing at the private Bar, Rhianna was Principal Lawyer with the Queensland Environment Department, advising on all aspects of environmental law including enforcement proceedings and appeals against statutory notices in the Planning and Environment Court, and mining approvals in the Land Court. Rhianna also appeared in regulatory prosecutions involving a wide range of environmental and planning offences. She has a particular interest in prosecutions involving native title and human rights issues. 

Rhianna previously worked as a legal officer with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Qld) and as a lawyer with the Office of the Director of Child Protection Litigation. She holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the Queensland University of Technology.

Rhianna accepts briefs for matters in Brisbane as well as on the Sunshine Coast.
